I launched the organization’s first product design department, including the establishment of a design system, launching the first user research initiatives, implementing product analytics, and formalizing Agile product design operations with engineering, product management, and leadership. I was responsible for the hiring, onboarding, and management of a contracted design-development team in Romania in an effort to fully redesign, rebrand, and relaunch the product in an increasingly competitive business landscape.

I invented and commercialized an innovative method of manufacturing water sports equipment, replacing polystyrene foam with natural cork. I built an eCommerce website and social media-driven marketing strategy that grew this small side project to $60,000 in revenue in 12 months. I owned the industrial design, UI/UX design, front-end development, marketing, advertising, supply chain, and manufacturing.

I co-founded a blog for working musicians, supplying career advice, industry news, a jobs board, resume templates, and in-person classes in New York City. I wrote over 300 SEO-optimized articles and edited another 300 guest articles and grew traffic to over 100,000 monthly visitors by 2011. My writings were featured in books, major new outlets (WSJ, Boston Globe), college curriculums, union newspapers, and culminated in a book deal offer from Oxford University Press. I owned all UI/UX, front-end development, and backend maintenance for the website.

In my first career, I was a jazz pianist, conductor, and keyboard player for theatre productions, cruise ships, and international tours. I traveled to over 40 countries in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and 48 U.S. States. I served as the Associate Music Director for two Broadway shows in New York City - On a Clear Day You Can See Forever starring Harry Connick, Jr., and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. I toured North America as the conductor of the First National Tour of Leonard Bernstein’s Wonderful Town and served as a Music Director and Accompanist at the Tisch School of Music at New York University.
