I am a data-driven product leader who loves to work with fast-paced, collaborative teams to solve complex problems.

My northstars are compassionate leadership, user empathy, and gritty determination.

My current role, as the Director of Product UX for GovTribe, leads the organization’s UI/UX product design, and collaborates with stakeholders on the measurement and movement of key performance indicators related to the company’s long- and short-term objectives.

Prior to this position, I had the pleasure of serving as the Director of Digital Strategy for 10 years at Meeting of the Minds. Our mission was to catalyze sustainable, equitable urban development through thought leadership, cross-sectoral collaboration, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. As Director of Digital Strategy, I built the organization’s internal and external digital platform, owning the full product development process from the strategic vision to the tactical design and development.

I am always glad to connect with like-minded individuals, especially if there is an opportunity to geek-out on product metrics! Please get in touch!

On the Side

Photography

I love to capture the world through a camera, especially landscapes, animals, and kids.

Photo cartooning

I like to combine photography and cartoon - mostly because it delights my kids, but also because I appreciate the combination of serious and absurd.

Music

My first career was as a pianist and conductor. In this career, I traveled to over 60 countries, performing for symphonies, theatre companies, jazz clubs, and recording studios. A few highlights: I toured North America as the Music Director for the first national Broadway tour of “Wonderful Town,” and managed a traveling crew of 39 people. A few years later, I was conducting full orchestras in New York City.

I was the Associate Music Director for two shows on Broadway, helping others through their development and production in many roles: copyist, arranger, vocal coach, keyboarding programmer, pianist, and keyboardist.

It was during this career that my interest in design and product began - as I made websites and apps for myself and for friends, and learned the essentials of branding, budgeting, and user experience.

In 2008, I founded a website (now retired) called MusicianWages.com, which grew into the largest website and online community for working musicians. My articles were re-published in academic text books, “Idiot’s Guide to…” books, and union (American Federation of Musicians) papers throughout the US and Canada.

My recordings can still be found, like very obscure easter eggs, in movies, streaming services, and sophomoric comedy videos on YouTube that I should definitely not be linking to in my professional portfolio.
